Full Day Sea Fishing
Enjoy a great day out Sea Fishing. Experience the thrill of the catch as you go after Cod, Bass, Smoothounds, Rays or Congers.
What does the activity include?
· Arrive at 9.00am and meet the skipper
· After meeting with the skipper you will step on board the fishing boat
· After a short safety briefing from the skipper you’ll then depart the marina
· After approximately 60 minutes travelling out in the Bristol Channel you will drop anchor and start fishing
· You are then given your rod, reel and bait for the day
· The skipper will give a demonstration on how to bait up and cast and will be available to help all day
· Snacks will be available around midday and tea & coffee will be served throughout the day
· Photos will be taken of all the catches and posted on the suppliers website and emailed to each participant
· Whatever fish you catch can be taken home with you
· Each person can also enter our quarterly competition and be eligible to wind some top prizes (rules of the competition are on board)
Where does the experience take place?
The boat departs from Penarth Marina in South Glamorgan.
What should I wear/take?
Please wear casual comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day. Waterproofs and strong footwear are also recommended.
Sun cream and a hat are strongly recommended during warm weather.
How long should I allow for this experience?
Please allow approximately 8 hours for the whole experience, the actual time spent participating is approximately 6 hours.
We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
When does the activity take place?
The experience runs on selected dates throughout the year subject to availability.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher.
This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the voucher expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Minimum age 16 years (under 16’s must be accompanied by a full paying adult).
If you suffer from sea sickness then please ensure you bring the necessary medication.
What about the weather?
This experience is weather dependant. If the experience is cancelled due to poor weather then an alternative date will be offered to you.
Can I bring spectators?
Sorry, all guests on board must hold a valid voucher for the experience.
What else do I need to know?
There are limited disabled facilities on board (unfortunately there is no wheel chair access), please discuss this further when booking with the supplier.
Nearest train station is Penarth.
Personal Accident Insurance is included.
