This is a great family activity where both adults and children get involved and work with one of the trained Animal Park Team. It is fun and educational; seeing behind the scenes and learning what is involved in keeping the animals happy and healthy. And after all your hard work you will enjoy a lunch in the Safari Suite.

Once you arrive you will be given welcome drinks in the Discovery Centre and one of the trained animal keepers will escort you both to the Animal Park where you will start your morning as a keeper.  Although this is fun activity you will also have the chance to learn many interesting and educational facts.  Activities may include helping to clean and feed our rabbits and farmyard animals. After your mornings work you will be escorted into Safari Sams Diner to enjoy a complimentary lunch.

  • There is no restriction for the age of the adult but the child must be between 6 and 13 years
  • The experience runs Monday to Sunday throughout the year excluding bank holidays, subject to availability
  • Please wear casual comfortable clothing suitable for the time of year, we also recommend you wear suitable footwear such as walking boots or wellingtons
  • Please allow approximately 3 hours for your experience 
  • You are welcome to stay at the park until it closes to enjoy the other attractions and animals
  • Spectators are welcome to join you, but will have to pay normal admission prices to enter the park.  Kindly note that spectators will not be permitted to enter the enclosures
  • You will be provided with refreshments on arrival and a lunch.  Lunch is provided by Safari Sams Diner and you will be able to select items from their daily menu

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
