Prepare to enjoy a morning of fun and great sushi!  Generally low in fat and high in protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, sushi is the ideal healthy fast-food.  Most people are put off by the idea of preparing it at home because it looks so complicated… but it isn’t!  In this workshop you’ll learn the history of sushi, how to prepare the ingredients, and then how to create great sushi yourself, before enjoying a tasty sushi lunch.  Finally you’ll leave with an information pack and a free gift, as well as all the sushi you’ve prepared.

  • A fun workshop in sushi-making run by an experienced YO! Sushi chef, as part of a group

You’ll arrive at the trendy YO! Sushi restaurant at 10am, where you’ll be welcomed and introduced to the YO! staff and the rest of your group.  You’ll receive a short lesson on the history of sushi (don’t worry, it’s more interesting than it sounds!), then you’ll watch the professionals at work as they demonstrate the essentials of sushi-making.  Then it’s your turn!  You’ll spend some time making sushi yourself by rolling makis, ISO rolls and Handrolls, aided by the friendly YO! staff.  We know you’ll be hungry after all this, so you’ll receive a ‘Bento Box’ lunch of yummy sushi, before leaving with an information pack and a free rolling mat so you can practice your new sushi-making skills at home!  You can also take home all the sushi you’ve prepared during the workshop.

  • Minimum age: 16.  Under 16’s may attend, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • There is full disabled access to the restaurant, please advise on booking if you require any special assistance. 
  • Not all sushi involves fish so vegetarians are more than welcome, but please inform the supplier upon making your booking if you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies.
  • Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for spectators.
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary.  Please check with the venue when booking.

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
