Your guide will welcome you in the Visitor Centre, where you will set off for the 90 minute tour. Your Wadworth journey begins with an introduction to the brewery, followed by a steep climb to the top of the Victorian tower. You will then follow the gravitational brewing process down through the levels of the brewery, viewing the Mash Tuns, Hop Back & original open Copper on your way through. En route you will see a contrast of old and new, with the next stop being the 21st century Copper House to see how technology has developed. Wadworth host a range of traditional skills on site, which include a visit to the Cooperage where you will see where the wooden casks are handcrafted*, followed by a short stroll to the Award winning Shire Horses* & stables (providing they are not on their annual holiday). Take a look around the Sign Writing Studio where all the signs for their 250 pubs are hand painted in the traditional way. Once you have experienced the science and skill that go into the making of the beers (and have worked up a thirst!), you are invited to the Mezzanine Bar for a tutored beer tasting session. Here you will enjoy a range of Wadworth cask ales, where you can have a Q&A session with your guide. Before going home with your choice of six handcrafted beers from a range and a Wadworth branded bag, there is the opportunity to browse through the items in the Brewery Shop.

• Minimum age: 18
• The visits to the Shire Horses is included all year around accept in August when they take their Annual Holiday. This date will be confirmed during the booking process
• The brewery has a series of steep and narrow staircases; therefore it is a health and safety requirement that all guests are able to negotiate the stairs unaided and must be of reasonable fitness. Due to uneven & wet floors, and narrow corridors, our tours are therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility
• The tours are run Monday to Saturday all year round at 11.00am and 2.00pm and on Sundays from April to November at 12.30pm. The Brewery is closed between the 25th and 28th December inclusive and is closed on Sundays from November to March inclusive
• The tour lasts 1½ hours, but please allow up to 3 hours for your visit
• Weather conditions should not affect the experience, however in the event of extreme weather conditions whereby guests are unable to attend* or the event is cancelled, an alternative date will be offered
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking
  

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
