You'll find them under armed guard in the Jewel House at the Tower of London. Visit the White Tower built by William the Conqueror, which today houses displays from the Royal Armouries’ collection.  You can’t miss its four distinctive turrets at the centre of the Tower of London – overlooking the River Thames. Explore the story of how the Tower was attacked and defended in the interactive Fortress displays. Pace the battlements, handle crossbows and explore the Tower’s history as a formidable royal fortress. Then indulge in a delicious cream tea in the New Armouries Café; situated in the grounds of the tower including: Tea or Coffee, a scone with jam and cream and a cake.

  •  Unfortunately this is not a spectator experience – it’s just for the two of you to enjoy!
  • As a guideline you should allow at least 3 hours to make the most of your visit to the Tower but there is no limit to the visiting time. Cream tea is served in the New Armouries Café between 14.00 - 17.00.
  • Whilst the Tower welcomes all visitors, this historic building has places with difficult stairs and passageways and wheelchair access is limited. There are also a large number of steps throughout the Tower with cobbles laid in some of the roads. However, the Jewel House and the Crown Jewels are fully accessible to all visitors.
