Drifting is like no other form of motorsport and requires precise speed and control but the excitement of perfecting the technique is exhilarating. This driving skill has been brought to public attention by the recent block buster movie ‘The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift’ and is also heavily featured in both the ‘Top Gear’ and ’5th Gear’ TV programmes, no supercar road test is complete without a tyre burning drift session on the test track, so why not learn how to do it too?

Once in the car you will receive expert tuition as you launch one of the drift cars side ways through the corners, spinning the wheels as you power off to the next corner. Your instructor will teach you where you need to start turning, how to control a slide round a corner and other drifting techniques. With this experience you will have four sessions with each session consisting of seven laps driving. At the end of each driving session you will swap seats with the instructor for a hair-raising passenger lap, so a massive twenty eight laps driving and four passenger laps in total.

On arrival at the venue you will be asked to sign on as a participant before being given your crash helmet. An event coordinator will then escort you to your allocated rear wheel drive drift car. Once inside the car your instructor will run through a safety and procedure briefing with you before running through the vital instructions of how you get the car to drift, then you are all set to start your first drift session. You will drive for four sessions over a morning or afternoon on a specially built track with a short break between each session to take in further tuition from your instructor. Each session consists of seven laps with you driving and at the end of each driving session you will swap seats with the instructor for a hair-raising passenger lap. Once you have completed your drifting sessions you will be presented with a certificate and a chance to buy a professional photograph of you drifting.

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • A full driving licence must have been held for a minimum of one year. This must be shown prior to driving, photocopies will not be accepted
  • Minimum height: 4' 10"
  • Maximum height: 6' 6"
  • Maximum weight: 18 stone
  • This experience will run from March to October on a minimum of one day per month. All dates are subject to availability
  • Allow up to four hours for your visit with 1½ hours driving time
  • Spectators are welcome and are advised to dress for the weather
  • Catering facilities are available on-site at an extra cost
  • There may also be an opportunity to purchase photos on the day
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
