A superb day of action and nostalgia at the historic Duxford Imperial War Museum in Cambridgeshire. You will experience hands on flying in a Tiger Moth, driving an armoured vehicle and take a sightseeing flight over historic Cambridgeshire. Your visit will also include a buffet lunch and tour of the museum.

Your experience begins with a briefing and refreshments in the Control Tower. Don your flying jacket, helmet and goggles to pose for a photograph alongside the Tiger Moth, then experience a flying lesson in this historic aircraft. Enjoy a driving lesson in an armoured vehicle at Duxford military test grounds and then a buffet lunch back at the Control Tower. You will then take a pleasure flight over historic Cambridge in the De Havilland Dragon Rapide before enjoying a guided tour around some of Duxford's private aircraft collection. Head back to the Control Tower to be presented with your certificate, log book and souvenir photograph.

  • Minimum age: 16
  • Maximum height: 6'4"
  • Maximum weight: 18 stone
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to check with their GP if they have a condition which may be aggravated by this experience
  • The activity takes place on selected dates, approximately once a month, from April to October. (Usually the 3rd Saturday)
  • You should allow approximately 5 hours for the experience and participants are welcome to stay at the museum, after their experience, until 6pm when it closes
  • Spectators are welcome, but will need to pay to enter the airfield. The entrance fee will be at half the usual price
  • All activities, lunch and tours are for the voucher holder only
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
