Upon arrival 30 minutes before your flight and after a full briefing you will be given your 1940’s pilots clothing to put on. Before your flight a picture will be taken which will be presented to you at the end of your flight as a souvenir. The instructor will take you for a ?ight over the practice area used by the original Dam Buster Squadron, then - as part of the aircrew - you will take to the controls of an original 1940 Tiger Moth aircraft as you recreate the famous run over Derwent Dam. Finally you will land next to the viewing area where you will receive a certificate in 1940s style log book font.
Minimum age: 13 (under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult)
Maximum weight: 18 stone 7lb
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or those with back problems
The experience runs seven days a week all year round with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. All bookings are subject to availability
Please allow 1¾ hours for the experience
Pilot’s gear will be provided, you are asked not to wear high heels
Spectators are welcome, but views may be limited
