On arrival you will be greeted with a welcome hot drink.
Your helicopter hover lesson will allow you to experience the thrill of flying and will even count as the first step towards your Private Pilot's Licence.
Your lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with the instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight including the effects of controls and how a helicopter flies. You will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the aircraft. Spend a total of 20 minutes in the air, both as a pilot and a passenger, split between three separate flights, of 6 to 7 minutes each, around the British Grand Prix Motor Racing Circuit. Flights will include two observation flights and one hands-on flight with Hover Challenge.
Overlooking the world famous Silverstone circuit you will see just how incredible this venue is and why it has become renowned for it’s tight turns and long straights. A trial lesson will give an insight into the thrills of flying and you will receive a certificate signed by your instructor.
This is a truly fabulous gift for anyone over the age of 12 and also a perfect introduction to flying for those who have always wanted to try flying a helicopter.

  • Minimum age: 12 (adult supervision required for under 16s on airfield premises)
  • Minimum height: 5ft
  • Maximum height: 6ft 6in
  • Maximum weight : 15 stone
  • You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or are pregnant
  • The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year. Saturdays are limited due to popularity
  • You should allow approximately ¾ hour for the whole experience. The flights will last approximately 20 minutes in total
  • Your voucher is valid for six months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiry
  • The experience content used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
