Take a guided evening tour and see how Shepherd Neame’s award-winning ales and speciality lagers are brewed, then savour a superb two course beer supper– freshly prepared with local ingredients. A pint of beer will be served with your meal and you can sit back and learn how Master Brewers and Taste Panel assess every batch of beer, discover fascinating facts about each beer, and take part in a fun “Beer Quiz”.
Guests will also each receive a jute bag with the Shepherd Neame logo, complete with a selection of six ales so they can carry on tasting at home!

Beer has been produced in Faversham for over 850 years and the Shepherd Neame Brewery, set in the centre of this historic market town, is open to visitors who wish to discover more about this proudly independent family company and its wide range of award winning beers.
Meet your guide and set off for the 80 minute tour on which you will see how we combine traditional methods and state-of-the-art technology to produce our range of Kentish Ales and speciality lagers. En route gaze into traditional mash tuns; taste natural mineral water from the brewery’s well; try some malted barley and smell locally-grown Kentish hops.
Then it’s back to the Visitor Centre for a fascinating tutored tasting and a two course Ale Samplers’ Supper and of course there’s time for a pint with the meal!

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Evening Tours and Ale Samplers’ Suppers run on selected dates throughout the year and are subject to availability – advance booking is essential
  • Please allow 3½ to 4 hours on site,the time spent participating is approximately 3 hours
  • The weather should not affect the experience but in the unlikely event that the experience is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, an alternative date will be offered to you
  • All guests must hold a valid voucher for the experience

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
