The environmentally-friendly, electrically powered Segway Personal Transporter is a novel and alternative form of personal transportation. With intuitive lean-steer technology and self- balancing ability the Segway is easy to use and a true experience. Two-wheel transport will never be the same again, you’ll be amazed at the way the Segway balances itself perfectly to keep you upright and in complete control.

You will be given full instructions on how to operate your Segway and a practice session. Once you are confident about how to control the Segway, it’s off on your adventure. Whichever location you choose, your guide will take you out in a small group around tracks and paths with some of the most glorious countryside the UK has to offer.

 

  • Welcome, introduction and short safety briefing
  • Demonstration by your instructor to show you the Segway’s unique capabilities
  • Practice session to familiarise yourself with the controls of the segway
  • Picturesque guided tour of some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside

On arrival you will sign a short disclaimer and will be issued with your personal safety protection equipment. You will receive a short safety brief and a demonstration by the instructor to show you the Segways’ unique capabilities. Your practise session will then begin and once you are confident you will then be ready to take part on the Segway tour. Your guide will take you out around track and paths with breathtaking scenery - remember to take your camera as there will be opportunities to take photos. You may choose from one of the following tours:

  • Nr Reading, Berkshire - Discover the delights of the 306 acre Dinton Pastures Country Park. Your guide will take you out around paths, tracks and lakes with breathtaking scenery that make up this nature reserve. You will see an abundance of wildlife and plants, some of which are unique to the area
  • Runcorn, Cheshire – A woodland guided tour, taking in the picturesque sites and nature of the Big Wood, which is owned by the Woodland Trust and dates back to 1757
  • Maidstone, Kent - Explore the grounds of Leeds Castle which some describe as the loveliest castle in the world. Take in the views of the castle not usually seen by visitors choosing to explore on foot. The tour takes you through some of the gardens of Leeds Castle, over the water cascade and black swan pond, and then out into the meadows. There will be a gentle off road route past the wood gardens, through the outer grounds and up into the hills to enjoy amazing views of the castle below

 

  • Minimum age: 12 to14
  • Height requirements vary by location. As a guideline you must be between 4’5” and 6’7”
  • Weight restrictions vary by location but as a guideline the minimum is 6 to 7 stone and maximum weight is between 17 1/2 and 20 stone
  • Please allow up to 75 minutes for the whole experience
  • Personal safety equipment will be provided on the day
  • You must be able to stand comfortably for approx 60 minutes and make stepping up and down motions as in climbing stairs
  • Kindly note that the experience is not suitable for those with serious medical conditions, bad backs or pregnant women

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
