This Sea Kayaking Coastal Adventure is the ideal way to have some fun whilst you explore the secluded areas of the Coastal National Park in Pembrokeshire. You will experience the thrill of exploring hidden coves, sea caves, beaches and sea cliffs all from your kayak. You will leave with your footprints in the sand, happy memories of this experience and the excitement of wanting to come back again.

On arrival, 10 minutes prior to the event start time, you will receive complimentary teas, coffee or a cold drink. After meeting with the group and an introduction to the experience, your sea kayak guide will get you kitted out in wet-suits and safety equipment before being fitting with a kayak. The kayaks used are from a range of general purpose closed cockpit, sit-on-top, double or single kayaks.
There will be an initial safety briefing and tuition session on the use of the paddle and the kayak. After a short journey in a minibus to one of the favourite kayaking spots on the beautiful and spectacular National Park coastline your journey begins. Starting in a small quaint and sheltered harbour you will soon become used to sitting in your kayak and manoeuvring successfully. You will usually play some games to help you warm up, before you set out along the coast to explore the hidden delights of this sea kayakers paradise. You will travel beneath towering sea cliffs, poke about in echoing sea caves, enjoy the exhilaration of surfing between the rocks and say “Hi” to the wildlife up close and personal. Depending on the season you may get to see Atlantic grey seals and sea birds such as razorbills, guillemots, shags and gannets. You will also enjoy the beautiful sea cliffs festooned with spring flowers or heather depending on the time of year.
During your Coastal Adventure you will learn about basic kayak strokes and get a real feel for the exhilaration and relaxation of sea kayaking. Upon your return to the Eco Lodge, the guides will ask that you help with rinsing the kit in their rain water tubs and then it’s the end of your half-day experience. Will you have caught the kayaking bug?

  • Minimum age: 10 (under 15s must be accompanied by a participating adult)
  • Minimum height: 3ft 9in
  • You need to be in good health and have a basic level of fitness and you need to fit into one of the wet-suits – the largest is adults size XXL
  • You also need to have a basic swimming ability
  • The experience runs 7 days a week, throughout the year, subject to availability
  • Morning sessions run from 09.00 to 13.00
  • Afternoon sessions run from 14.00 to 18.00
  • All safety equipment including a wet-suit, kayak jacket, helmet and floatation jacket will be provided
  • All spectators, aged 16 and over, are welcome but will have a restricted view
  • The experience content used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
