Set in seven acres of beautiful parkland, The Hickstead Hotel is an ideal location for escaping for a short break and enjoying a fascinating tour of an award winning vineyard.
You are welcome to check into your twin or double room from 2.00pm on the day of arrival. There you can relax and unwind before your evening meal. Served in the Oak Tree Bistro you can enjoy a three course dinner supervised by their professional head chef whose menu features the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. A full English or continental breakfast will be served in the morning for both guests before checking out at 11.00am.
Your experience will continue with a vineyard tour at an award winning winery set in the Sussex countryside. After a welcome tea or coffee on arrival, you will enjoy an in-depth, interesting and very entertaining tour. You will be shown a selection of the vines and your guide will discuss how they are trained, grown and harvested. You will then visit the vineyard’s state-of-the-art winery and bottling plant where you will discover the secrets of the winemaking process from the arrival of the grapes to the bottling of the finished wine.
Next you will have the chance to taste some of the vineyard’s finest wine before finally settling down to enjoy a delicious ‘ploughman’s’ style buffet lunch. Lunch will be freshly prepared on the premises and will be made from locally-sourced produce. As a special treat, you will also be given a complimentary bottle of wine per couple to take home with you, and of course you’ll have the opportunity to buy plenty more.

  • Minimum age: 18
  • The experience is available on selected weekdays and Saturdays
  • You may check into the Hickstead Hotel from 2.00pm and check out is the following day at 11.00am
  • You will need to allow approximately 4 hours for your vineyard tour and tasting, including an hour for lunch
  • During your stay we recommend you wear smart casual clothing although there is no strict dress code for the hotel. We would recommend you wear outdoor clothes suitable for the weather conditions and sturdy footwear to the vineyard as there is some walking involved
  • Please advise the hotel and winery of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking
  • Please note: There will be a maximum of 36 other guests on the vineyard tour

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
