The famous venue has been host to major tournaments and most recently hosted the 2010 Open Championship, so why not follow in the legends’ footsteps with this one night golf getaway and see if you can become the next Lee Westwood.
This experience is suitable for complete beginners to advanced players, so don’t worry if your putting is not up to scratch or you often find yourself in the bunker, your PGA Professional will discuss what you hope to achieve and put together a programme for the three hours tuition that will best benefit you.

Upon arrival at the Ardgowan Hotel you can relax upon check in and stroll around the historic university town of St Andrews, taking in Scotland’s architecture and beautiful coastlines. There are many restaurants and bars where you can stop for a meal before your overnight stay and golf tuition the following morning.
After a delicious breakfast in the morning you will be welcomed by your PGA professional and will be able to discuss what you hope to achieve from your experience. The programme will be tailored to work on the specific areas on which you wish to improve or it can be used to work on all aspects of the game. The three hour session is designed to be interactive, fun and informative so providing you with the knowledge and understanding to move forward.
You will then get the chance to take the newly learned skills onto the St Andrews Balgove Course for unlimited play, where you can develop your game further.
Designed to accomodate beginners and junior golfers the 1520 yard, nine hole Balgove course, offers a scaled down version of the challenges found on full length golf courses. With shallow bunkers, gently undulating greens and wide fairways, the Balgove gives golfers a feel for what they will find on other courses as they develop in the game.
Your golf swing will also be videoed and will be emailed to you after your break as a memento. You will also receive as a future development plan and information booklet.

  • There is no ability restriction as the experience is suitable for all abilities - beginner to advanced
  • The experience is for two days and one night
  • The experience is available seven days of the week, twelve months of the year
  • St Andrews is in a coastal location so can occasionally experience strong sea winds, especially in winter months. Weather is changeable so be prepared for all eventualities
  • Only those with a voucher can attend
