This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence to prepare delectable dishes and mouth watering meals on one of the friendly, fun and highly educational cookery courses. Enjoy a day’s course at Swinton Park Cookery School, with a combination of hands-on and demonstration cooking and a three course lunch.

The cookery school at Swinton Park is housed in the restored Georgian stables in the grounds of this award winning luxury castle hotel, and equipped to the highest specification. The school offers a range of themed courses throughout the year – Dinner Parties (in three modules), Food of Love, Game, Provenance Food (Grow and Cook Your Own) and Festive Fare. Each course covers essential techniques such as boning and filleting, making bread and sauces – giving guests the opportunity to learn to cook restaurant standard food using recipes that are adapted to home cooking. All levels of experience are catered for, and most of the day is spent “hands-on”, interspersed by a demonstration or two. At the end of the morning, a three course meal will have been prepared which will then be served as a late lunch to guests in the Cookery School Dining Room.

  • Minimum age: 16
  • This experience is available on selected dates throughout the year, subject to availability
  • Courses start at 9.30am and end mid afternoon after a late lunch
  • You should allow approximately 7 hours for the whole experience
  • All participants must hold a valid voucher, however participants can invite one guest to join them for lunch for a fee of £30, please be aware that places are limited and must be booked in advance
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

     

 

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
