The wine tasting experience is run in a sociable and relaxed atmosphere with strong emphasis on discussion and participation. You will have the opportunity to taste and enjoy a selection of good quality wines which are currently available on the market. This experience is fun, friendly and informal but informative at the same time. All required material will be provided. No previous wine knowledge is needed, as this course will help you to understand wine, to learn to appreciate it and to give you the confidence to choose the wines you enjoy. You just need to turn up! Who said learning can’t be fun?

On arrival you’ll be welcomed and introduced to the rest of the group. The morning session will be partly theoretical, dealing with how the wine is made and different styles of wine. Then on to the practical element when you will taste and discuss seven different high quality wines before breaking for lunch.
The afternoon will involve tasting a further seven types of wine and again these will be discussed and then re-tasted with small samples of selected foods. You will also learn how to choose a wine in a restaurant or shop, spot faults in wine and how to store and serve your wine. Cheers!

  • Minimum age: 18
  • This experience is available on Saturdays only
  • There will be no courses running during the Christmas period (mid-December to January), and availability may be restricted during July and August
  • Lunch is not included in the experience but can be purchased directly from the hotel
  • Unfortunately this is not a spectator experience
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
