The Junior Keeper experience is a great opportunity for juniors aged 8 to 15 years to have an insight into life as a keeper at Woburn Safari Park. They will get up close to the animals in the animal encounter area and even have the chance to visit their favourite animal in the drive through reserves.

Go behind the scenes at Woburn Safari Park and experience first hand what life is like as an animal keeper as you join the staff and get involved in their daily tasks. Mucking out, food preparation and close encounters with some of the smaller animals, is all in a day’s work. Expect grubby hands whilst taking part in this experience!
The day will begin at 9.30am where you will be introduced to the keepers and begin helping them with their daily tasks such as mucking out and food preparation. The experience will include hands on encounters with some of the animals on the foot safari and a chance to visit a favourite animal in the drive through reserves. You will receive a guidebook and an ‘Animal Keeper’ certificate as souvenirs of the experience. You are welcome to stay in the park until closing time and explore all the other public areas.

  • Minimum age: 8
  • Maximum age: 15
  • An adult must accompany the Junior (an adult is included in the price)
  • The experience can be booked seven days a week subject to opening times and availability
  • The Safari park is open every day as from 10th February until the end of October 2012 (weekends only until 10th Feb). The park opens at 10am and last admission (and last drive through) is at 5pm. The park closes at 6pm
  • Only those with a valid voucher can attend. The voucher is valid for one junior and one accompanying adult
  • The experience will finish at approximately 1.00pm but you are welcome to enjoy the Safari Park until closing time
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
