Introductory Rally Driving

Introductory Rally Driving
£179.00

Have you ever watched a top rally driver weave his way through twisting dirt track roads and thought “I could do that”, well, this is your chance! Engine revving and wheels spinning, you skid sideways around corners in ways you won't believe. Your instructor alongside you has briefed you on techniques used by champions and explained the safety procedures. You're trying hard to follow his instructions, but you're still amazed by the sheer fun of rally driving. You’ll be taught to handle a rally car on tarmac and/or loose surfaces and to cope with cornering and braking.

  • Safety Briefing and initial Group instruction
  • Training from a qualified instructor and hands-on driving in a specially prepared rally car
  • Allow 2-4 hours for your visit (depending on location)
  • Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card
  • PA cover to a value of £50,000 plus cancellation indemnity

When you arrive, you will normally be asked to sign an indemnity form which will also require parental/guardian signature for under 18's. Your training session will usually be shared with other drivers. The course will start with a classroom briefing on the different techniques required to master the art of Rally Driving. This will cover correct braking and gear change methods, handling techniques and more. Then, it’s straight out on the stage and into the driver’s seat of a purpose built, fully prepared rally car. Rallying requires focus, true determination and complete car control and with your instructor by your side to guide you round the stage, you’ll soon be tackling the techniques like a pro. The vehicles used vary depending on location and may be front or rear wheel drive. The fully qualified instructors will put you at ease as you learn the different techniques over the loose or tarmac surfaces. Depending on which location you choose the actual format will vary but it’s likely to include a practice session before you take the wheel for the all important final run. You will not be allowed to drive if you are late and miss the safety briefing.
