Want to learn one of the fastest growing water sports in the world? Paddleboarding involves standing on a super wide long board and propelling yourself through the water using a long paddle. A great way to improve your balance and strength whilst having fun!

Paddleboarding is easier to learn that surfing. This great new activity is low impact, invigorating and promotes balance, strength and general fitness. You don’t have to be a surfer or an adrenaline junkie to learn and no previous experience is required. This experience takes place on Harlyn Beach, near Padstow on the beautiful North Cornish Coast. Widely recognised as one of the finest surfing beaches in Cornwall, Harlyn is a fantastic place to learn to paddleboard or work on improving your skills. You will be learning from one of the most experienced surf schools in the UK. The instructors are highly trained and motivated and you can be assured the quality of teaching you will receive is absolutely first rate! Your instructors will meet you on Harlyn beach and issue you with your equipment, boards and wetsuits. Then through a series of cutting edge coaching techniques you will practice your technique on the beach before hitting the ocean where the fun begins! Your lesson will last for two hours but you need to allow three hours for the full experience including getting kitted out.

  • Minimum age: 10
  • You must be able to swim 25 metres
  • Participants will be required to fill in a medical health & fitness declaration form. Please check with your doctor if you have any medical concerns
  • Please allow approximately three hours for the whole experience. Your lesson will last for two hours
  • This experience is available on selected weekends between April and October
  • No previous experience is necessary for this lesson. This is not a surf experience and you will be learning to paddleboard in calm water
  • All instructors are qualified Surf Life Saving Association Life Guards and British Surfing Association Instructors
  • Spectators are welcome, however views may be restricted

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
