This kayaking experience is the perfect way to start in this thrilling and diverse sport. Experienced instructors will show you how to use the kayaking equipment before taking you out on the water and teaching you some key kayaking skills and techniques. This experience is the ideal way to learn about this fantastic sport, and you'll even play a few watery games!

On arrival you will be kitted out with the appropriate equipment before your experienced instructor explains how it should all be used, along with a safety briefing (should you capsize). Then it's out onto the water where you will learn some key kayaking skills and techniques and even play a few watery games! This introductory course is specifically aimed at beginners to learn some basic kayaking techniques, safety skills, equipment use, and to build water confidence.

  • Minimum age: 14 (Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian)
  • Maximum age: 65
  • Maximum weight: 16 stone
  • Participants should be in reasonable health and have a general level of fitness
  • The experience is available on selected dates from March to November
  • Please allow approximately three hours for the whole experience
  • Please wear suitable clothing for the time of year. A complete change of clothes or a wetsuit (not provided) with appropriate footwear is also needed. The supplier will provide you with a full kit list once your booking has been made
  • Unfortunately, this experience is not suitable for those with disabilities
  • Spectators are welcome

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
