This amazing experience is your chance to discover if you've got what it takes to fly a helicopter and be a commercial helicopter pilot.

Upon arrival you will be greeted with refreshments and a full introduction, then your experience will begin. A safety briefing will be given by a CAA Licensed Helicopter Instructor, followed by a talk on being a commercial pilot and a presentation on helicopter pilot career options. A hands-on, one-to-one helicopter flying lesson and hover challenge is up next and you'll take the controls as your instructor gives you helpful tuition. During the experience you will receive a buffet-style lunch, as well as a guided tour of the hangars and a discussion about various helicopter types.

  • Minimum age: 16 ( Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult )
  • Minimum height: 5ft
  • Maximum height: 6ft 2in
  • Maximum weight: 15 stone
  • You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or are pregnant
  • Flights take place on selected weekdays and weekend dates throughout the year. Saturdays are limited due to their popularity. All dates are subject to availability
  • You should allow approximately four hours for the whole experience. The flying lesson itself will last approximately 20 minutes
  • This experience is not suitable for spectators as participants can only be seen on the take off and landing
  • Dates will not be available whilst the Olympics are being held
  • Whilst the lesson is one-to-one there may be other participants on the same course
  • Your voucher is valid for twelve months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiry. This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
