Relax in Hertfordshire with a tour of some superb gardens followed by a delicious afternoon tea for two. Paradise Wildlife Park is widely thought to be located in some of the best zoological gardens in the UK. The immaculately kept flora of the Park are expertly tended by a dedicated gardening team so you enjoy learning about the rules of a well kept garden as well as information about how the gardens provide food for many of the Parks animals. After your tour you will be treated to a delicious afternoon tea within the grounds.

Upon arrival you will receive a welcome drink and be introduced to the tour guide for your experience.
You will have the opportunity to learn about various planting techniques and plant history and your guide will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
The gardens have been developed with three things in mind; pleasure for the visitors, provision of food for the animals as well as conservation and education.
During late spring and summer the gardening team provide spectacular colour with hanging baskets, planter displays, containers and pots.
Follow the woodland trail and learn about the preserved woodland surrounding the Park or take a trip on the "Bee Trail". Many plants and shrubs are wildlife friendly and the trail is a great way to learn about how they encourage insects to increase pollination and food productivity.
The tour can provide an insight into planting and care of your own garden. Although the gardens create a wonderful setting for a great day, they also have a practical aspect. Many of the beds and borders house plants and shrubs suitable for feeding a selection of the Park’s animals. These include bamboo which is a delicious treat for the Red Pandas.
Once your tour is complete you will enjoy a delightful afternoon tea to include sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea or coffee within the Park’s grounds and you are welcome to spend the rest of the day exploring the Park.

  • Minimum age: 16
  • Your whole experience will last for approximately 3 hours but you are welcome to arrive early to enjoy other attractions and animals in the Park
  • This experience can be booked on Thursdays and limited Saturdays in June, July, August and September when the gardens are at their best. All bookings are subject to availability
  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months
  • In severe weather an alternative date will need to be booked
  • We recommend that you dress for the weather conditions on the day of your experience
  • Although spectators will not be able to accompany the voucher holder during their experience, family & friends may pay normal admission prices to enter the park and enjoy the other attractions and animals
  • Each voucher is valid for two people
  • Disabled access is available, for further information please discuss with the supplier at the time of booking
  • Your experience is not exclusive and there will be up to 20 people on the garden tour
  • The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking
