Spend a full day enjoying this exciting yet relaxing sport on the world famous Rutland Water. This fly fishing adventure is a superb introduction to fly fishing for someone who has never tried it before, but would love to give it a go. The package includes a full day of instruction and will cover essential elements including tackle set up, the flies to use and learning the art of casting with a fly rod on a motor boat.
A light lunch and refreshments are also included during your day.

You will be met at the lakeside fishing lodge on the shores of Rutland Water at around 10.00am where you will receive an introductory briefing from your instructor.
In the morning, you will learn all the basic skills to enable you to enjoy this active and exciting sport including tackle set up, the flies to use, how to ‘read’ the lake and the art of casting with a fly rod, before enjoying a light lunch.
The afternoon will be spent aboard a motor boat on one the world's finest trout lakes where you can put your new skills to the test.
The day ends around 5.00pm where you will be awarded with a certificate to commemorate your experience.

  • Minimum age: 12 (under 16's must be accompanied by aparent or guardian)
  • If you have any medical problem or disability which may affect your experience, please inform the supplier when you make your booking
  • We recommend you bring clothing appropriate to the weather conditions on the day of your experience, plus a spare pair of clothes in case you get wet. Sunglasses, sun tan lotion and a hat are recommended as you will be outside for the majority of your experience
  • This experience is not suitable for spectators. All participants must hold a valid voucher
  • Please note that there will be between one and three other people on this experience with you
  • You will be provided with tackle, permits and licences

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
