Climb, swing and jump amongst some of the tallest trees in Eastern England at one of the newest and highest ropes course to hit the UK. Set in beautiful surroundings in Norfolk, the course offers thrill-seekers the opportunity to conquer 20 different activities amongst trees as tall as150ft. There are two different levels - low ropes at 20ft. and, if you dare, high ropes at 40ft. In addition, feel the G force on the 45ft 3G swing, the fear of the 80ft fan descender jump and the sheer exhilaration of flying 1000 ft down a zip wire. The fun doesn’t end there, the speed you reach on the zip wires means there’s only one way down – abseil! Then, as a perfect contrast, enjoy the woodland walk. The New Wood is the oldest example of continuous cover forestry in Britain and has been managed under this system, by the Coke family, for more than 100 years. The sheer size and height of the trees make for magnificent surroundings, allowing many unusual flowers and shrubs to thrive under the shelter of the high forest.

The course includes the following:

20ft ropes course

There are 10 elements at this level including:
 - Balance Beam
 - Islands in the Sky (hanging/swinging platforms)
 - Wind Chimes (hanging vertical logs) Zip Wire into Scramble Net

Then, if you are feeling brave, you have the choice to progress on to the high level course.

40ft ropes course

There are 7 elements at this level including:
 - Burma Bridge - V shaped rope bridge through oak tree
 - Multi Vines - Tight rope with hanging vines to hang on to
 - 300ft. zip wire to 3G swing

You will also have the chance to try out the following exciting extras
 - 3G swing - an exhilarating ride for anyone who wants to experience the g-force effect. The swing can take 3 people at a time and is winched up to a maximum height of 45ft and one of the participants then releases it into a massive swing.
 - 1,000ft zip wire and an 80ft fan descender jump - a platform 80ft up a massive Grand Fir, which itself is over 150ft high, gives you the thrill of dropping down on a fan descender in a controlled vertical jump (this is similar, but much higher, than the fan descenders used by the armed forces for parachute training), then being winched back up and this time flying down a 1,000ft zip wire. The zip wire and fan descender are thought to be Britain's longest and highest.

Then as peaceful contrast you will have the chance to take the beautiful woodland walk, which takes you through this magnificent area of forest. Lunch is also included.

 
 

  • Minimum age: 10  (Although under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
  • Minimum height: 4' 7"
  • Maximum weight: 20.5 stone
  • A reasonable level of fitness and strength is required, as the course is challenging
  • In unsuitable weather conditions such as high winds, the course may need to be cancelled. If this does occur you will be able to reschedule your experience
  • Spectators are welcome. They may join you on the woodland walk and for lunch at an extra cost payable on the day
  • Unfortunately, this experience is unsuitable for those with disabilities
