Bird Photography Experience Day

You will have the help of a photographic guide and a falconer from the venue for the entire duration of this experience. They will offer advice and answer as many questions as you may have.
You will be taken to view a super selection of birds both in static settings and free flying situations. There is a clear emphasis on learning new techniques such as capturing action shots of birds in flight together with simpler, more creative settings for static shots.

The Hampshire Location 
This location has a terrific variety of birds and the advantage of several distinct areas to fly and photograph them in. From Owls in the woods to the amazing Kites and Eagles in the meadow you are assured of some great pictures. There is even the chance of shooting wild Red Kites and Herons during their daily wild raptor feed.

The Bedfordshire Location
Your day will start with a comprehensive briefing before we set out to photograph an extremely wide range of birds. From Owls in the woodland to pelicans in the flying arena there will be lots of great picture opportunities. The venue also has some interesting settings for subjects like Barn Owls, Buzzards and Eagles.

The Surrey Location
This location has a fantastic collection of native British birds, including every species of our resident owls. You will aim to photograph the owls in meadow and woodland settings, both in static poses and flying. The day will offer some superb opportunities for photographers of all levels.

Your guide will ensure that photographers of all levels of experience are given the support and guidance they need to go home with memorable images. The sites’ expert falconers will perch birds in highly natural settings being careful to hide the anklets or jesses. We will also spend time photographing birds in special ‘private flying’ sessions where we hope to encourage a variety of birds to fly in a predictable manner making in flight shots much easier.

• Minimum age: 16 (anyone under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult)
• This experience is available all year round. Start times are approximately 9.30am-10.00am and finish approximately 5.00pm
• The experience requires no qualifications and is suitable for all guests interested in photography and animals
• You will need to bring your own camera
• Disabled access is available at the park
• The day is fully inclusive of admission, tuition, guidance lunch & refreshments
