Travel back in time with a medieval themed banquet dinner at Coombe Abbey for two!
Come and experience what it’s like to eat a meal fit for a king with a feast of four courses, red wine and mead! Your experience will include full entertainment throughout the banquet from medieval style actors who will be singing between courses and keeping you thoroughly entertained!
The banquet will be followed by a disco until late where you can dance the night away with other guests and meet the actors of the night!

Some of the menu options are as follows:

  • The Abbot's Broth - A hearty broth of vegetables, pearl barley and herbs served with stoneground bread
  • The Royal Rib - Marinated rib of swine with sage, cider and honey
  • My Baron's Chicken - Quarter roasted fowl, rolled in mace, tarragon and crushed black pepper in a sharp lemon and mead sauce
  • The Coombe Abbey Apple Crumble - Apple and apricot crumble with elderflower cream

Vegetarian options are also available.
The meal is accompanied by three goblets of red wine and three beakers of mead per person. You are welcome to stay after the dinner for the disco featuring Coombe Abbey’s resident DJ and dance till the early hours.

  • Minimum age: 18
  • This experience is available on Friday and Saturday evenings
  • The Banquet Dinner will start at approximately 7.00pm with the stage show finishing at 10.30pm.The disco will finish at midnight
  • Menus are subject to change. Please advise the Abbey of any dietary requirements when booking
  • The hotel requires guest to wear smart clothing – no jeans and trainers. Medieval Costume is optional and can be hired directly from Coombe Abbey
  • All areas of the hotel have full disabled facilities. We recommend you call the supplier for further information

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a gift pack to you or directly to the recipient. A voucher and booking information will be included in the pack so you just need to check the info and book your experience.
