What does the activity include?
This "Orient-Express of the North" is the first classic train of the new century, providing the ultimate in stylish and enjoyable dining trips.
Departing from your chosen station you will watch the rich tapestry of the British countryside glide past as the relaxing atmosphere becomes permeated with the aromas of fragrant, mouth-watering menus. The 4 course meal is accompanied with a glass of champagne and a half bottle of house wine.
You will experience the splendour and elegance of another generation as you relax in the opulent surroundings of this famous train.
Where does the experience take place?
Trains depart from Norwich, Liverpool, Manchester, Leicester, Nottingham, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Chester, Cheltenham, Worcester, Coventry, Cardiff, Newport, Cambridge, Ipswich, Carlisle & Newcastle.
What should I wear/take?
Smart casual wear is required (no jeans please). You can never be overdressed on the Orient-Express!
How long should I allow for this experience?
Please allow approximately 4 hours for this experience.
When does the activity take place?
Trips are scheduled for selected dates throughout the year, however some excursions have limited dates and may only run once a year. Please contact eXhilaration for an up to date schedule.
Should you wish to take your trip during November and December then there will be an additional supplement charge to do so, please contact eXhilaration for further details.
We recommend you book at least twelve weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability
Are there any restrictions?
With apologies to smokers, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express operates a no smoking policy aboard it's British Pullman or Northern Belle train.
What about the weather?
The weather should not affect this experience, however in the unlikely event that it is cause for cancellation, an alternative date will be offered.
Can I bring spectators?
Sorry, all passengers must hold a valid ticket for travel but spectators are welcome to accompany you to the platform and wish you "Bonne Voyage".
What else do I need to know?
Please check-in 30 minutes prior to departure.
Your tickets and travel documents will be sent to you 7-10 days prior to departure.
Please allow a full day for this experience. A table for two cannot be guaranteed
If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise us on booking and we will do our best to comply. The voucher is for two people.
Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue.
Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included.
