What does the activity include?
The Imperial War Museum
This former RAF fighter airfield saw action during the Battle of Britain and is steeped in history. Today, Duxford is Europe's premier aviation museum where you can discover an outstanding collection of over 150 historic aircraft from biplanes and spitfires to Concorde.
Your experience will start with a full pre-flight briefing from your pilot before stepping out to this glorious aircraft. Once in the air, the flight will cruise at 1,500 feet giving you an unequalled view of the Cambridgeshire countryside as you fly south towards the magnificent London skyline. First you will recognise the National Westminster and Canary Wharf towers then, suddenly, The Thames will be beneath you. Tower Bridge and the Tower of London will look very different framed between a pair of silver wings.
The voucher includes free entry to The Imperial War Museum (for voucher holder) and half price entry for spectators.
What should I wear/take?
Comfortable clothing suitable for the time of year.
How long should I allow for this experience?
The flight will last approximately 1 hour 15mins, including taxi time. However you are welcome to spend as much time at the museum as you would like up until closing time.
When does the activity take place?
Flights operate on most weekends from March to October.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Maximum height: 6 foot 4 ins.
Maximum weight: 20 stone
There are no specific medical requirements but if in doubt please ask you doctors opinion.
What about the weather?
As with most forms of air sports, they can be affected by weather conditions. If however your experience cannot take place due to the adverse weather an alternative date will be offered to you.
It is very important that you call the dedicated weather phone line to check that your flight can go ahead, otherwise you may have a wasted journey for which we cannot be held responsible.

Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are welcome, there is a charge to enter the museum but this will be half the usual entry fee.
What else do I need to know?
This experience is suitable for disabled passengers.
