60 Minute Flying Lesson
Most of us have flown in an aircraft at one time or another and either looked at the pilot in envy as he effortlessly controls the aircraft, or wondered just how does an aircraft actually fly. Well, this is your opportunity to take the controls.

What does the activity include?
Your trial lesson will start with a pre-flight briefing from your instructor covering your route, how to read the cockpit instruments and how to handle the controls. You will then take to the skies for a full 60 minutes, your instructor will demonstrate how to fly the aircraft and when you're ready, give you an opportunity to take the controls for a real hands-on flying experience.
After landing, your instructor will answer any questions you may have and should you wish, explain how you can achieve your Private Pilots Licence.
Where does the experience take place?
West Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Coventry, Derby, Merseyside, Manchester, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Northamptonshire and North Devon.
What should I wear/take?
You should expect to spend approximately one and a half to two hours at the airfield.

Are there any restrictions?
Maximum height aproximately 6 foot 4 ins
Maximum weight approximately 100kg / 225lb
You should not take part if you suffer from Epilepsy or are pregnant.
Upon arrival at the airfield you will be required to show some photo ID (passport or driving licence card is best) to security before being able to gain access to the airfield. This is for spectators too.
Please do not consume any alcohol before your flight. You will be refused your flight if it is believed that you have.
What about the weather?
This type of aircraft is not usually affected too badly by weather conditions. If however your experience cannot take place due to the adverse weather an alternative date will be offered to you.
Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are welcome but views may be limited as you will fly away from the airfield to complete your lesson.
What else do I need to know?
Disabled facilities may vary depending on the location, please check with us at the time of booking.
Refreshments are not included but you may be able to purchase them depending on the location.
You must call the airfield before leaving home to check on weather conditions.
Personal Accident Insurance is included.
The type of aircraft used may differ depending on the location, should you require further information on this then please contact us.

IMPORTANT: UPON ARRIVAL YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW A FORM OF PHOTO ID (PASSPORT OR DRIVING LICENCE CARD IS BEST) TO SECURITY BEFORE BEING ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE AIRFIELD. THIS IS FOR SPECTATORS TOO.
