30 Minute Flying Lesson
This is your opportunity to ask as many questions as you like and also take the controls of a light aircraft. Imagine having the freedom to go wherever you want, but beware, you could get bitten by the flying bug and there will be no stopping you!

What does the activity include?
Your trial lesson will start with a pre-flight briefing from your instructor covering your route, how to read the cockpit instruments and how to handle the controls. Once in the air, your instructor will demonstrate how to fly the aircraft and when you’re ready, give you an opportunity to take the controls for a real hands-on flying experience. After landing, your instructor will answer any questions you may have and should you wish, explain how you can achieve your Private Pilots Licence.

Bristol, West Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Coventry, Essex, Liverpool, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, North Devon, South Devon, Peterborough, Doncaster, Darlington and Derby.

You should expect to spend approximately one hour at the airfield.

When does the activity take place?
Flying lessons take place all year round and are normally available on any day of the week.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Minimum height 5 foot. This is only a guideline, please call eXhilaration for advice.
Maximum height 6 foot 4 ins.
Maximum weight 100kg / 225lb. This is only a guideline, please call eXhilaration for advice.
You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy or are pregnant.
Please do not consume any alcohol before your flight. You will be refused your flight if it is believed that you have.
What about the weather?
This type of aircraft is not usually affected too badly by weather conditions. If however your experience cannot take place due to the adverse weather an alternative date will be offered to you.
Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are welcome but views may be limited as you will fly away from the airfield to complete your lesson.
What else do I need to know?
Disabled facilities may vary depending on the location, please check with us at the time of booking.
Refreshments are not included but you may be able to purchase them depending on the location.
You must call the airfield before leaving home to check on weather conditions.
Personal Accident Insurance is included.
The type of aircraft used may differ depending on the location, should you require further information on this then please contact us.
Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details.
IMPORTANT: UPON ARRIVAL YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW A FORM OF PHOTO ID (PASSPORT OR DRIVING LICENCE CARD IS BEST) TO SECURITY BEFORE BEING ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE AIRFIELD. THIS IS FOR SPECTATORS TOO.
