Novelli Academy Two Day Cookery Course with Steven Kitchen
Whatever level of cookery skills you arrive with these will be greatly enhanced by the time you leave and hopefully inspire you to be a more confident cook.

What does the activity include?
The day is hosted by Novelli Academy chef Steven Kitchen who will demonstrate and then prepare with you a selection of mouth watering dishes from Jean-Christophe's book "Everyday Novelli", offering practical advice and professional instruction along the way. The days are informative and very practical being filled with tips and tricks used in a professional environment.
The course will include bread making basics, desserts and sauces, advanced menu preparations, basic knife skills and cutting techniques and a talk on vegetables and herbs by a gardening specialist.
Kindly note that although Jean-Christophe does not host the course he will greet the class and do a small demonstration to support his protégé chef whenever his schedule permits.

The experience takes place at the Novelli Academy in Hertfordshire.

Approximate course times are 1pm - 7pm on day one and 11am - 4pm on day two.

When does the activity take place?
Courses are held on selected weekday dates throughout the year, usually on a Thursday & Friday.
We recommend you book at least eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Minimum age 18 years.
Participants must be able to stand up for a reasonable length of time whilst participating in practical work.
What about the weather?
The weather will not affect this experience.
Can I bring spectators?
Sorry, all guests must hold a valid voucher for this experience.
What else do I need to know?
Two lunches, one dinner and beverages are all included. You will need to advise us of any food allergies or special requirements at the time of booking.
Unfortunately there is no disabled access on site as it has not been possible to modify the 14th century listed building.
Each participant will be provided with their own recipe folder.
Approximately 50% of the course will be demonstrations and the other 50% will be ‘hands on’.
Kindly note that the Academy reserve the right to provide an alternative chef should Steven be unavailable for any of the courses. Any alternate chef that is provided will be of equivalent calibre and is personally vetted by Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included.
