What does the activity include?
Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is the fulfilment of Raymond Blanc’s personal vision, a dream that one day he would create a hotel and restaurant in harmony where his guests would fine perfection in food, comfort, service and welcome. Now you have the chance to learn a few of their culinary secrets at the state of the art, newly refurbished Raymond Blanc Cookery School. Now in it's tenth year, it is the only cookery school in the world to offer visitors the chance to watch, learn and practice in the kitchen of a two Michelin Star restaurant.
The Raymond Blanc Cookery School is for everyone who has a passion for food and wishes to have fun preparing it. In fact, “fun” is the word most often used by our cookery school students to describe their day at the School. Initial concerns about the level of cooking skills required are immediately dispelled by the informality of the environment and the realisation that the only qualifications needed are a love of food and the desire to learn about cooking. At the hands of our experienced chefs, the complete novice through to the experienced enthusiast will learn not only the secrets of producing the finest food, but the reasons behind those secrets.
All courses include a day’s tuition, morning and afternoon tea and informal lunch in the cookery school. The courses provide a hands-on opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a practical and supportive learning environment, as well as being a holiday in the most luxurious and beautiful surroundings and a chance to make new friends.
Courses that are available could include the following:
Dinner Party - the ideal opportunity to gather some great tips from the professionals to create the perfect dinner party. You will be shown fabulous techniques, making the role of host appear seamless.
Fusion Cuisine – this course looks at all the vital ingredients that are used in Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisine. As well as creating stunning recipes, you will have the chance to taste an amazing array of Asian sauces, spices and aromatic teas
Blanc Vite - Using the skills and techniques of Le Manoir you will have the ability to create fast, simple and delicious dinner parties - with the minimum of preparation and complication and the maximum reward, freedom and fun.
Garden to Plate - As well as being aesthetic, the garden at Le Manoir plays an integral part of what is produced in the kitchen. This course will use the bounty of our organic garden to create wondrous dishes.
You will leave Le Manoir with new-found confidence and enthusiasm, impatient to return to your own kitchen to experiment with your skills.

When does the activity take place?
Courses are available on selected dates throughout to the year. Although certain courses may run more often than others and some may only be available at certain times of the year. Please call us for further details.
We recommend you book at least twelve weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Minimum age 18 years.
Please advise us prior to booking your experience if you have any specific dietary requirements, e.g. if you are pregnant or have any food allergies etc.
What about the weather?
The weather will not affect this experience.
Can I bring spectators?
Unfortunately spectators are unable to accompany you into the cookery school.
What else do I need to know?
Courses are aimed at all those who have a passion for food whether a beginner or more experienced foodie.
Participants are provided with a chefs jacket to wear on the day as well as a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
Kindly note that Raymond Blanc will not host the courses. You will be in the capable hands of his dedicated and highly skilled team who have worked closely with Monsieur Blanc for many years.
