What does the activity include?
The course will start with a classroom briefing on the different techniques required to master the art of Rally Driving. This will cover correct braking and gear change methods, handling techniques and more.
Then, it’s straight out on the stage and into the driver’s seat of a purpose built, fully prepared rally car. Rallying requires focus, true determination and complete car control and with your instructor by your side to guide you round the stage, you’ll soon be tackling the techniques like a pro.
The vehicles used vary depending on location and may be front or rear wheel drive. The fully qualified instructors will put you at ease as you learn the different techniques over the loose or tarmac surfaces.
Depending on which location you choose the actual format will vary but it’s likely to include a practise session before you take the wheel for the all important timed run.

What should I wear/take?
Please wear casual clothing and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
How long should I allow for this experience?
You should allow approximately 1½ to 3 hours (Depending on location and numbers on the day).
Actual driving time may vary from 20min – 40 min depending on location, please check with us at the time of booking.
When does the activity take place?
The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year. Certain locations may only be available on weekdays.
We recommend you book at least eight to twelve weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Minimum age 18 (17 years at Dunfermline)
Must hold a full driving licence which must be presented on the day.
Minimum height 4 ft 8ins (5ft at Oxfordshire / 5ft 2 at Northamptonshire)
Maximum height 6ft 7ins (6ft 6ins at Oxfordshire)
Maximum weight 18 stone (16 stone at Oxfordshire)
This experience is not suitable for people who have any illness that may affect their driving or are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, high blood pressure or heart problems.
Participants will be required to sign an indemnity on the day.
Please Note: the above height and weight limits are guidelines, please contact eXhilaration for advice if you fall outside these limits.
What about the weather?
If the course is cancelled due to bad weather, an alternative date will be offered to you.
Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are welcome but there may be limited places and age restrictions for safety reasons. These vary by location so please check with eXhilaration at the time of booking for your chosen location. There may be a small charge for spectators. Strictly no dogs allowed.
What else do I need to know?
Participants must hold a current full manual driving licence to take part, this must also be presented on the day (at Northamptonshire you must have held a full licence for 1 year).
The surface of the actual rally course varies by location.
Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue.
Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included.
Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details.
