Tall Ship Sailing Experience
This is your chance to experience what it is really like to sail on of the most majestic of vessels on the sea. You can have a go at setting the sails, take the helm or just sit back and enjoy the day.

What does the activity include?
Joining the ship at Portsmouth you will be welcomed on board the ship with coffee and biscuits. Following a safety briefing the ship will then head out into the Solent and will start to hoist some sails. For those that wish, the crew will be glad of any volunteers to help with the sails and helming and they will be pleased to explain the ship’s rigging and construction.
A buffet lunch and afternoon tea will be served during the day and a cash bar is available on board.
The sailing will continue in the afternoon arriving back in Portsmouth.

Where does the experience take place?
The ship will depart from Portsmouth.
What should I wear/take?
Flat shoes and warm clothing (even in summer).
How long should I allow for this experience?
You will need to allow all day as you will be participating in the experience for approximately 7 hours.
When does the activity take place?
Selected dates from May to September.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions?
Any children who wish to participate must bring their own life jackets.
Minimum age is 12 years, under 18's must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access as this is a historic ship, however please advise us if you have any mobility restrictions that the centre should be aware of and all possible assistance will be offered on the day. Please note that the toilets on board the ship are via a flight of stairs.
What about the weather?
In extreme circumstances it may be necessary to cancel the event. If a cancellation is made on the day the ship and services will be at the participants disposal at the Quay. If cancelled in advance, where possible alternative dates will be provided.
Can I bring spectators?
Spectators may accompany you to the Quayside and wave you off and/or await your return.

Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue.
Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included.
Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details.

Delivery by first class post within 3 - 5 working days. Please allow 7 days for delivery during peak postal times
Next day delivery must be ordered before 12.00. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched the following day. A signature will be required upon receipt. Deliveries not signed for will taken to your local post depot
